Laird to sign book on Kansas grain storage history at The Bookshelf

McPherson, Kan. — Linda Laird will be signing her book, “American Grain Elevator” from 10 a.m. to noon June 9 at The Bookshelf and Hidden Closet. The book, with over 150 regional illustrations, tells the story of how grain storage began, how elevators were invented, who owns them and how they work.

Haute stuff: Framingham State fashion students show their designs

Fans of fashion will have a rare opportunity to view student design collections in the Natick Mall’s “Form to Fashion” event this month. Framingham State University fashion students will showcase their garments publicly in the display, which opens tomorrow with a reception from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the atrium adjacent to Neiman Marcus and runs until May 24.
